AT2000 System Overview

A basic AT2000 system setup includes:

>> A UNIX machine connected to a phone system through a multiple jack module. The UNIX machine contains the hardware which processes telephone calls and faxes. It also functions as the AT2000 Server. Larger systems may have two or more UNIX machines networked together, in which case, only one of them is designated as the server.

>> A PC running Windows. The PC serves as the application generator workstation (or ApGen Workstation). It's connected to the server via Ethernet.

>> A printer connected to the workstation. It's used to print database configuration and caller activity reports.

>> A modem connected to the workstation. The modem provides a system link to MicroVoice customer service and support.

>> OPTIONAL: Satellite feeds which transmit data to the server. These feeds provide additional, updated information such as weather forecasts, sports scores, stock quotes, etc.
